CBD stands for canabidiol and derives from the hemp plant. Unlike THC, CBD is non-pyschoactive Where do you source your CBD? We source our hemp in Europe! Europe has been producing hemp longer than America, with such experience and strict regulations their hemp is more pure and pesticide-free! Our CBD is third party tested and regulated from seed to bottle. What is CBD Oil? CBD oil is made from the leaves, flowers and stalks of the hemp plant—the only parts of the plant where cannabidiol is found. A CBD oil or tincture is made by mixing a CBD extract from a hemp plant into a base like alcohol, hemp seed oil, or in our case, grape seed oil, which is what gives our Tincture its wonderful taste! What is the endocanabinoid system? The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is presentinal vertebrates, and its main purpose is to regulate bodily homeostasis—biological harmony in responseto changes in the environment. In humans, this system has been developing for a longtime—over 500 milion years. The ECS produces natural canabis-like molecules in our bodies, regulating everything from relaxationton eating, sleeping, inflammation and even cognitive function. Basically your ECS is responsible for making sure your entire body is working optimaly. Research initialy sugested endocanabinoid receptors were only present in the brain and nerves, but committed researchers have found that receptors are presen throughout the body, including our skin ,immune cells, bone, fat tissue, liver, pancreas, skeletal muscle, heart, blood vessels, kidneys, and gastrointestinal tract. Endocanabinoids are arguably one of the most wide spread and versatile signaling molecules known to man. Is it like marijuana? Often, hemp is considered the same as marijuana, since many of their uses are similar. However, these are two types of cannabis that are different from each other in terms of chemical properties, cultivation process, usage and other traits. Hemp is mainly cultivated for producing natural hemp oil for pain, or for fabrics, food, rope and other items. Marijuana contains high levels—up to 20 percent—of the psychoactive ingredient THC, whereas hemp contains less than 0.3 percent. What are the effects of CBD? Countless personal stories and testimonials prove that CBD is helpful in reducing pain, anxiety, depression and muscle spasms; asthma, epilepsy, inflammation, insomnia, bipolar disorder, Alzheimer’s disease, and chronic pain. |
Will it make me feel high?
This is the most common question people ask about CBD or hemp oil for medicinal uses. Hemp may have a maximum of 0.3 percent THC to produce 99 percent pure CBD. The very low presence of THC will not produce a distinct psychoactive effect. However, since CBD has such a positive effect on depression, anxiety, and pain, users report feelings of general well-being and relaxation. How can CBD be used? There are many ways for the human body to metabolize CBD. The ways that we have found most beneficial are as a tincture for sublingual absorption, or through the skin. Since our bodies’ largest organ, the skin, is permeated with CB1 and CB2 cannibinoid receptors, topical application, and absorption through the skin is highly effective as an ointment, cream, or salve for a concentrated effect on a specific part of the body. How long do you keep CBD tincture under your tongue? Try to keep the CBD tincture under your tongue for 30 – 60 seconds. The longer you can hold, the better it will absorb. What are terpenes? Terpenes are essential oils found in plants. There are around 200 terpenes in cannabis. They are what give cannabis its distinct aroma and flavor. Terpenes have beneficial effects and work synergistically with cannabinoids like CBD and THC – this relationship is called the entourage effect.
